3:45pm: holiday
today is the first annual "Family Day."

A new Canadian holiday. Everyone has the day off to spend with family.

The only thing is. Everything in the town is closed- and its winter....what exactly are we supposed to do?? I think its just an accelerant to my already mild case of cabin fever. Oh well.

I shocked at how everything is closed- grocery stores, walmart, starbucks, everything. Theyre open on xmas in apple valley- but shut down in the whole of canada for Family day???

 So, this summer, we are going for a little european vacation. To Skye, then Munich, and then---- i dont know where. we cant decide on a 3rd destination. we were thinking of italy or spain. I wonder if I could get some assistance from you. 

Wha is the best city you have visited in europe? is there some place i simply cant miss? 

This will be my first and last vacation in/for a long time. so, I want to make sure that it is awesome :)

7:03am:  It snowed for about 6 hours last night. 

Its amazing. It took only about 45 minutes for fall to transform into the oh so familiar white landscape.

10:59pm:  today we got a visit from the police. 

aparently SOMEONE was playing with the cordless phone, pushing buttons, and dialed 911 accidentally.

we didn't know so we let him back into the house. 

12 seconds later he was back out, but the house fucking reeks.


In other news, the trees are orange and red here.Very pretty.

4:02pm: Its Bear, Its a Plane,,, Yep its a bear

So, It was in the 30's this morning. Not in Celcuis, in Farenheit.  Fall comes along pretty quickly up here. 

So, I went to visit nathan at work this morning and a fire truck pulled up at the same time as I did. When I went inside I was asked if I saw the bear across the street, I obviously hadn't. So we all watched for about a half hour as fire trucks, police and city workers were over in this park, trying to get a bear out of the tree. It was about 30 feet up on a branch, probably scared to death, as they shot tranquilizer darts at it. Finally, on their fourth try, they managed to get it. So, I walked over closer to the park, with Lochlan, to join the rest of the spectators/gawkers, and finally got a good look at the bear. The problem was that the sedated bear was now stuck inbetween a branch and the trunk. So someone went up and started cutting branches. After a few minutes the bear falls out of the tree. It is the kind of fall that could seriously injure or kill someone... Im not sure how the bear is doing now.

Ill bet you a nickel this will be on the front page of the Chronicle-Journal tomorrow.

7:25pm: I just got the internet back after 4 days without! I am far less addicted than I used to be, but still it was tough. 

I am going to be in minneapolis this weekend, I will be a he back to the 50s car show. Are any of you planning on going? I dont know if I will be able to make it out to GZ or the saloon, as i have "mini-me" but im going to try to make it to mpls.

Nathan went out and got us Front Line Assembly  tickets for tuesdays show. They are numbered 0002 and 0003.  I don't think that anyone here even knows who they are,  It is going to be a teeny tiny show. Im really excited though!!!

Is anyone going to the MPLS show?

Facebook is the newest and hottest thing in Canada....everyone is getting all retarded over it. 

Is it getting a new surge of popularity there too? Or is it just up here in the great white north? 

I guess I dont get it.. is it really that cool??? If its really that cool, why did canada only hear about it a month ago?
